The riverfront project involves two sites with distinct and adjacent tracts of land. PRA owns seven acres of property along the Pascagoula River that are roughly bounded by Watts Avenue (to the north) and John Street (to the south). This site has been designated as the PRA Site.
Front Street Properties, LLC, a private land owner, has expressed interest in selling or leasing, to the developer, five additional acres of the property joining the PRA Site along the Pascagoula River. It is designated as the Platt Site and is roughly bounded by John Street (to the north) and Dupont Avenue (to the south). The Platt Site is within the urban renewal area and falls under the urban renewal plan adopted by the City of Pascagoula.
The PRA plans to maximize the development potential of each of the sites in accordance with the City’s urban renewal plan and purposes.
